The Snow Egg Festival, held each year on the last Saturday in July, gives participants a chance to frolic in the snow in the height of summer. Start of Iide Mountain Range Climbing Season

"Shishimai" Lion Dances

From July to September, "shishimai" lion dances are held at shrines throughout the Iide region, performed by troupes of village youths clothed in ceremonial white attire.
